SPIRITUALITY & PERSONAL GROWTH

There are questions we ask about the world — and questions we eventually have to ask about ourselves.

Great Lakes Radio creates space for spiritual reflection, philosophy, mindfulness, self-awareness, personal growth, human potential, ancient wisdom, concepts of creation and the questions that have followed humanity throughout history.

Some of those questions are deeply personal.

Some are ancient.

And some may not have only one answer.

You don't have to fit into a particular box to listen.

Come as you are.

LOVE'S CHURCH

with Reverend Chickie Haute & Minister John Collie

A little church for wherever you happen to be.

Love's Church presents short, non-denominational services centered on love, spiritual reflection, encouragement, compassion and our connection with one another.

It is a place to step away from the noise for a little while, reflect, reconnect and consider the ways spirituality can be lived rather than simply discussed.

Come as you are.

No building required.

WHAT IS A GOD?

with Reverend Chickie Haute

What if the question is bigger than the answer?

What is a god? explores human potential, self-help, mindfulness, self-awareness, personal development, concepts of creation and the ways our beliefs influence what we think we are capable of becoming.

Through spirituality, philosophy, self-discovery, human potential, personal experience and challenging conversation, Reverend Chickie Haute explores the nature of consciousness, creation, power, responsibility and the divine.

The program also brings these ideas into conversation with real life through interviews with interesting and influential people from throughout the Great Lakes community — people whose experiences, work, creativity and perspectives give us something new to consider.

This isn't a program about telling you what to believe.

It's an invitation to ask the question.

THE LANTERN TREE

with Minister John Collie

Old wisdom. Forgotten stories. New conversations.

Some of humanity's biggest questions aren't new at all.

The Lantern Tree explores spirituality, philosophy, ancient works, history, folklore, old ideas and the wisdom people have carried from one generation to another.

Minister John Collie looks at writings, beliefs, traditions and stories from across time while also turning toward the history, people and communities of the Great Lakes.

Ancient texts may sit beside local history.

Philosophy may meet folklore.

A centuries-old idea may suddenly have something very relevant to say about life today.

History has a remarkable way of echoing itself.

The program may also feature conversations with historians, community members, business owners, craftspeople, storytellers and others whose knowledge and experiences are worth carrying forward.

DIFFERENT PATHS. BIG QUESTIONS.

Love's Church, What is a god? and The Lantern Tree approach spirituality from different directions.

Love's Church creates space for spiritual connection, reflection, love and encouragement.

What is a god? looks inward and forward — toward consciousness, self-awareness, human potential, creation and what we may be capable of becoming.

The Lantern Tree looks across time — toward philosophy, ancient wisdom, history, traditions and the knowledge humanity has carried with it.

They don't have to reach the same conclusions.

That's part of the conversation.

SOMETHING TO THINK ABOUT

Not every question needs an immediate answer.

Not every idea needs to be accepted or rejected the moment we encounter it.

Sometimes an idea simply needs somewhere to sit for a while.

A place where we can turn it over.

Look at it from another direction.

Ask another question.

And perhaps understand ourselves a little differently afterward.

Great Lakes Radio makes room for those ideas.
